Stockd (“we”) respects your privacy. This Policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and how to exercise your rights.

1. Information we collect

Account data: name, email, password hash, country, locale.
Seller data: KYC documents, payout details (via Stripe Connect or PayPal), tax information where required.
Transaction data: orders, license deliveries, refunds, disputes.
Technical data: IP, user agent, device fingerprint, cookies, log events — used for fraud prevention, analytics, and security.
Communications: support emails, dispute messages, marketing preferences.

2. How we use your data

To provide and operate the marketplace.
To process payments and payouts via our processors.
To prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents (legitimate interest).
To send transactional emails (order confirmations, dispute updates) and — with consent — marketing.
To meet legal obligations (tax, AML, sanctions, DMCA, court orders).

3. Legal bases (GDPR)

We process personal data under one or more of these bases: contract performance (operating your account), legal obligation, legitimate interests (fraud prevention, security, product improvement), and consent (marketing where required).

4. Sharing

We share data with vetted processors only to operate the Services: payment providers (Stripe, PayPal, NowPayments), identity verification (Stripe Identity, Persona), email (Resend), hosting and database (Vercel, Neon, Cloudflare), error and product analytics (Sentry, PostHog, Axiom). We do not sell your personal information.

5. International transfers

Where data is transferred outside your region, we use Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

6. Retention

We retain account data for the life of your account plus the period required by law (typically up to 7 years for financial records). Marketing data is retained until you unsubscribe. Fraud-prevention signals may be retained longer where necessary to protect the platform.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, and others), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise rights, email support@stockdsale.com. We respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for sign-in and security, and — with your consent — analytics cookies. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser. Where required by law, we display a consent banner.

9. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Contact us if you believe we have such data and we will delete it.

10. Security

We protect your data with HTTPS-only transport, encrypted storage, role-based access, audit logging, and continuous monitoring. No system is 100% secure; if we discover a breach, we will notify affected users as required by law.
